Please join us for our annual, FREE family history conference. Learn new research and organizational techniques, network with others and get to know your ancestors!!

The annual New England Family History Conference 2009 will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at the Franklin LDS Church at 91 Jordan Road, Franklin, MA

Sponsored by the Hingham Stake Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

This year's selection of courses will include topics such as Nationality Research in Portuguese records, Canadian records, German/European research, Internet research technology, Molecular Genealogy (DNA), Poor Records Research, The New familysearch.org and much more. Pre-registration is Closed, but Walk-ins are Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in the New England Family History Conference, we are poised for another great conference and we hope you will all join us. Although pre-registration is closed, you are welcome to register at the door as a walk-in. We have never turned anyone away, although some of the smaller classrooms may be full. The committee now begins the sprint to the finish line of arranging final details. The final pre-registration numbers give us an excellent idea of how we need to arrange the building, which classes will be held in which room and how many lunches and syllabuses will be needed. Thanks to all those who pre-registered for giving us this head start. We look forward to another wonderful conference with lots of learning about out ancestors and families. See you all there!

Syllabus: A full conference syllabus, with presenters' notes, is available for download from this website for free. Alternatively, you can purchase a paper copy of the syllabus. If you choose to download your syllabus, you will be notified, via email, when the syllabus becomes available. You will use your login information to access the download page. A paper copy of the syllabus is $ 7.00, just select the number of syllabii when you register, have your payment postmarked on or before Friday, March 13, 2009 and it will be included in your registration packet at the door.

Lunch: Lunch is offered for $ 8.00, as a fundraiser for the Fall River Branch Youth Organization. We need to count how many lunches we need, so be sure to select your sandwich choice when you register and your name will be added to the lunch list. This year's lunch menu includes Ham or Turkey Sandwich, fruit, chips, cookie, water. To reserve your lunch, be sure payment for your lunch, $ 8.00, is mailed to us postmarked on or before Friday, March 13, 2009. If you prefer, there are also several restaurants near the church in Franklin.

Time: Registration will be from 8:15 - 9:00 AM. The opening session will be from 9:00 - 9:20 AM. The conference sessions will run from 9:30 AM - 2:50 PM and networking will be from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Click here to see an overview of the entire program.

Networking: Refreshments will be available while you network with the speakers and fellow Family Historians from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM immediately following the conference.
